The boy isn’t hers anymore. Brandy and fiance Ryan Press have broken up and ended their engagement, a rep for the R&B singer confirms to Us Weekly. “They are no longer together. The engagement is off, but the friendship is still on,” the rep says in a statement.
Robin Thicke Is Causing Controversy Here In NC
Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” is still causing controversy — as well as unemployment for a North Carolina club DJ in Chapel Hill who was given a pink slip for playing the song. The DJ, whose name was not released, spun the song at Fitzgerald’s Irish Pub, which upset a chick named Liz so much that she climbed into his booth to tell him to stop playing it. When security asked her to leave, she took her fight to Facebook, saying, “Fundamentally, all I was aiming to do is to create a safe space in the Carolina community. In a lot of ways, violent or graphic images that allude to sexual violence are triggers.” When a number of Liz’s fellow University of North Carolina students came to her defense and suggested a boycott of the pub, owner Lauren Shoaf relented, saying the DJ had been canned and promising, “[While] the song is played by many DJs at Fitzgerald’s, and other places, it will never be played here again.”
