Could a fight with bouncers at a pool party have been behind T.I’s showdown with Floyd Mayweather Junior this weekend? According to TMZ, just hours before squaring off with the Money Weather at a Fat Burger in Vegas, T.I. and his crew got into it with security at Liquid, a poolside club inside Vega’s Aria. Witnesses say Tip and his crew were trying to get inside to see Nicki Minaj perform, but security didn’t recognize him at first, leading to lots of pushing, shoving and screaming. Though they were eventually let into the party, speculation is the incident left him with a short fuse, which eventually went off when he saw Mayweather later that day.
Apple Finally Talks About The Beats Deal
Even though news about Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine selling Beats to Apple was announced a few weeks ago, an official statement has finally been released about the $3 billion deal. Yesterday, I posted an article talking about reasons the deal may have been held up (READ IT HERE). Apple CEO Tim Cook, who purchased both the Beats’ line of headphones and its streaming music service, says, “We’re gaining rare talent, a fast-growing subscription service and premium headphones that have done incredibly well, but none of those are the reason for doing this deal. This one is all about music.”
Busta Rhymes Gotta Pay Up
The IRS is asking Busta Rhymes to pass the Courvoisier, along with the more than $780,000 he owes them in back taxes. TMZ got its hands on documents claiming the rapper owes $611,000 in taxes from 2008 and another $178,000 from 2012.
